To preserve the jewel’s brilliance, we recommend using a mild liquid soap and rinsing thoroughly with fresh, lukewarm water. Then dry carefully with a soft cloth. The same routine is advised after bathing in the sea or in a swimming pool.
Avoid any direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products, as these may damage certain types of gemstones.
We suggest protecting the jewel from drops and impacts that could not only seriously damage its finish, but also compromise the stability of the settings and result in the loss of stones.
The jewel should never be worn during sports with a high risk of impact, such as surfing, water skiing, and similar activities. Settings and certain gemstones are not suitable for activities involving salt water.
Temperatures above 60°C and below -10°C can be harmful to some types of gem materials, so avoid storing the jewel in places that are excessively humid, cold, or hot, and do not clean it with water that is too hot. It should also not be worn in a SPA, Turkish bath, or sauna.
In the event of impacts, and in any case three years after purchase, we recommend a complete cleaning and a check of the stability of the settings by your trusted jeweler, or at any store in the Dolce&Gabbana network.
