The crown-topped pin highlights the meticulous care and technical mastery of goldsmithing, beyond the filigree globe, one can admire the tiny gold spheres that alternate with sinuous curls, and the two generous scrolls that accentuate the domed effect of the composition. The spiral tip cover, crafted from twisted gold wire and inspired by a tradition that was very much in vogue in the nineteenth century, underscores the sculptural quality of the jewel. To preserve the brilliance of the jewel, we recommend using a neutral liquid soap and rinsing thoroughly with fresh, lukewarm water. Then dry it carefully with a soft cloth. The same procedure is advised after bathing in the sea or in a swimming pool.
Avoid any direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products, as they may damage certain types of gemstones.
Protect the jewel from falls and impacts, which can not only seriously compromise its finish, but also affect the security of the settings, potentially leading to the loss of stones.
The jewel should never be worn for sports with a high risk of impact, such as surfing, water-skiing, and similar activities. The settings and certain gemstones are not suitable for activities in which salt water is present.
Temperatures above 60°C and below -10°C can be harmful to some gem materials, so avoid storing the jewel in places that are excessively humid, cold, or hot, and avoid cleaning it with water that is too hot, as well as wearing it in a SPA, steam bath, or sauna.
In the event of impact, and in any case three years after purchase, we recommend a complete cleaning and a check of the stability of the settings by your trusted jeweler, or at any store within the Dolce&Gabbana retail network.
