Isolano is a pervasive white with extraordinary character, grown on the northern slope of Etna and created out of the collaboration between Dolce&Gabbana and Donnafugata, two outstanding Italian companies united by their unconditional love for Sicily, their passion for their work and for attention to detail.
Isolano is made from a meticulous selection of Carricante grapes, a grape variety that is native to this area.
Its straw yellow color with golden highlights brings the sun of Sicily to mind, where the sand is tinged ocher and the sea waves seem to dissolve in the dazzling light of summer.
The refined bouquet has fragrant citrus aromas, notes of blooming broom and Mediterranean herbs a pervasively elegant wine that distinguishes itself on the palate for its persistence and extraordinary volcanic minerality.
The creative flair of Dolce&Gabbana enhances the colors of Sicily, both on the graphics of the label and case, and in the color choice of the seal and the gros-grain ribbon: the geometric shapes and designs bring the Sicilian Carretto to mind, with red, green, blue and yellow dominating.
