The rosary consists of twenty-four spheres of black jade connected by a hand-made chain. A hanging cross is connected to the main thread by five small spheres of black jade and a medallion depicting the Madonna. Two more medallions depicting cherub angels and a drop pearl further enrich this central element. A carved black jade rose has been inserted as a terminal in the adjustment chain.
