PRIVACY NOTICE
Privacy notice pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/03 on data protection (the “Data Protection Act”).
 

Dolce & Gabbana S.r.l., as owner of domain names that include http://www.dolcegabbana.it (the “Website”) uses the Website as a source of information about the activities and/or products of Dolce & Gabbana Group and as a tool for collecting personal information.
Under the Data Protection Act, Dolce & Gabbana S.r.l., as the data controller (the "Controller") must provide the following information on how it processes both the personal data of visitors to the Website (traffic data) and users who have submitted their details by email and/or by completing the relevant forms in order to be able to access restricted areas of the Website or to receive the Controller’s newsletter.

This notice only applies to the Website and to the activities carried out by the company Dolce & Gabbana through its data supervisors. It does not apply to other websites that may be visited by users via hyperlinks and/or activities of third parties.

1. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

1.1 Traffic data
The computer systems and programs necessary for the operation of the Website normally log certain data obtained automatically (if Internet communication protocols are used) which could, if combined with other data, allow users to be identified.
This data may only be used for the purpose of collating statistical information about the use of the Website and to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
If expressly requested, this data may be used to ascertain liability in the event of computer fraud being committed against the Website and/or third parties, in accordance with the procedures adopted by the relevant authorities.

1.2 Data volunteered by users
This includes personal details volunteered by individual users by email and/or by completing specific forms in order to access restricted areas of the Website.

In both cases, only general data will be processed.

2. WHY AND HOW DATA IS PROCESSED

Data will be processed both manually and using electronic tools for the following purposes:
a – to inform users about the activities and/or products and/or initiatives of the Controller and of other companies in Dolce & Gabbana Group;
b – marketing, market research and statistical processing;
c – newsletters;
d – operational management of the Website and corresponding traffic data;
e – management of data and Website security;
F – staff recruitment.

3. DATA COMMUNICATION

Data will be sent to other companies in Dolce & Gabbana Group or to service providers and/or third parties, the designated data supervisors, who will work with the Controller to accomplish the aims set out above.

4. AUTOMATED DATA COLLECTION SYSTEMS

No persistent cookies, trojans, spyware, web bugs or other systems will be used on the Website to trace users.
Any use of session cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user's computer and which are deleted when the browser is closed) will only be to make the Website more efficient and secure.
Under no circumstances will these session cookies be used to obtain the user’s personal details.

6. DATA SUBMISSION

Except for traffic data (which is automatically collected by the system), the submission of data is optional at all times. Any refusal to provide data will have no consequence other than preventing the user from accessing services offered in the restricted areas of the Website, or from receiving the newsletter and any other information about the activities, products and/or events marketed or promoted by the Controller and/or other companies in Dolce & Gabbana Group.

5. CONSUMER RIGHTS

Interested parties may exercise the rights granted to them by Article 7 of the Data Protection Act, listed as, but not restricted to, the right to obtain a copy of the data processed and to have this updated, corrected, supplemented or, in extreme cases, deleted and restricted. Requests to access data pursuant to Article 7 of the Data Protection Act may be sent to Dolce & Gabbana S.r.l. at 10 Via Goldoni, 20129 Milan, or emailed to privacy@dolcegabbana.it. Specifically, the interested party is entitled at any time to withdraw his or her consent to receive promotional material and information, including the newsletter.
